Unveil the Cult Fiction crypt!

Cult Fiction is a re-examination of Hollywood’s redheaded stepchildren and what makes them great, what makes them terrible, and what makes them cult. Every episode, your co-hosts Andy and Stephanie discuss a film that has been critically left behind.  From the wide-range of brilliant to cringe-worthy, from cheesy to genius, enjoy Cult Fiction every first and third Wednesday of the month. Beware, here, all things are cult.

About

Cult Fiction: a film and culture podcast where two friends re-examine one of Hollywood’s lesser known works. We deep dive, try to be a little funny, and gently (or not-so-gently) peel back the layers on each film we discuss. Every first and third Wednesday, we serve up a full craft’s table of film history, political and literary analysis, and the occasional dick joke (hi, Mom). We play a lot of 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon and award each movie the Oscar it will never receive.

About Your Hosts

Stephanie Johnson is a poet, editor, marketer, and pie-maker living in Asheville, North Carolina. She is originally from California by way of Florida and misses warm weather year round more than she can express. She has two degrees in literature and writing, and specializes in poetry, YA Lit, feminist criticism, and daydreaming of paying down her mountain of student loan debt some day. She also is the Editor-in-Chief of The Passed Note, a young adult literary magazine; you can find her poetry at The New Ohio Review, QU, and Women Arts Quarterly, among others. You can follow her on Twitter @srenaewrites for puppy gifs and Instagram @srenaewrites to see photos of mountains and pies (sometimes, mountains of pies).

Andy Boell is a video production technician/camera-man living and operating in Orlando, Florida. He is originally from California by way of Colorado and misses the mountains more than he can express. He has a degree in Radio-Television Production from the University of Central Florida and nominally less student loan debt. He is also a co-host of Love Hate Relationship, where he rants about car repairs and Coheed to Stephanie’s husband, Alex. You can follow him on Twitter a @Jovocop2113 where he posts way too much about hockey and on Instagram @sir_aacha where he really doesn’t post anymore.
